About Me

I'm English and a mother to a gorgeous daughter and a wonderful son. They are my greatest achievements.
I work in a hospital in a very friendly dept - Pathology, which I really enjoy.
I feel rich in my life because of the lovely friendships I have. I like good, healthy food and cooking. There's nothing better than spending time with friends, especially over a meal or a drink. I love meeting people and making new friendships.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've reached middle age, kids flown the nest and just beginning to travel more. It wasn't an option when I was younger. I love to meet new people from all walks of life. I have friends and work colleagues from all parts of the world already who are enriching my life. I have a few friends who are hosts and I have met some great people who were guests of theirs. Such a rich and fulfilling experience.

Interests

I sing in two large choirs.
Joining the choirs was one of the best things I've done. I have met some lovely people and made many new friends. So good to perform on stage with these friends after weeks of rehearsing together. I absolutely love being part of creating a beautiful sound; performing with an orchestra for an audience. Gives a real buzz.

I'm just into reading crime thrillers by the author Karen Rose atm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I voluntarily help foreign work colleagues improve their English, so am very happy to do the same for any foreign guests. I am happy to show my beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon, William Shakespeare’s birthplace on the edge of the Cotswolds, and my knowledge gained from the University of Life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My life’s experiences, interest in theirs, and my playful sense of humour!
