About Me

CURRENT MISSION

just enjoying my life to the fullest and letting the sunshine in!

ABOUT ME

I am an openminded person who loves to travel. I love to meet new people and hear their stories. I care about the environment, I am a vegetarian :)I just finished my second master of literary studies. Before that I studied English combined with film and theatre studies. And now I am teaching English in a technical school in Brussels

PHILOSOPHY

Let the sunshine in, people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting and talking to new people from all over the world, Couchsurfing offers me just that :)
Since I live in Brussels, however, I receive a lot of requests, many of them just copy-paste... If your request is completely impersonal, please don't expect an answer...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been couchsurfing togther with my boyfriend on a short trip to Brighton and because it was such a positive experience I decided to do it again during my summer holiday which I spent in beautiful Finland! Again I met a lot of very nice people thanks to couchsurfing! So since I live in Brussels, I get a lot of requests so I have also become a host myself, and it is so cool to host people from different countries! Whenever I travel, now, as when I travelled through Northern Italy during my easter break, I try to couchsurf because by now I'm really convinced that it's one of the most interesting ways of travelling!
Next couchsurf adventure: Ireland!

Interests

I love reading novels, travelling and baking. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen preparing food and especially baking cakes, pies, cookies,... I love going to the cinema, or just watching movies on my laptop, I like to go for long walks in the sun and I love to swim in the sea. I love purple flowers and pink (alcoholic) drinks on the terrace and I love old books and summerdresses

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's hard to pick two moments because I am very often awestruck, especially during my travels! Hmm I'd have to go for the spectacular view that awaited us when we reached the top of Mt. bigelow (part of the Appalachian trail in Maine), not only the view was spectacular but also the nice company made it an unfogettable moment, although the same company made our time in the national park of Acadia also unforgettable!
Swimming in thoreau's Walden Pond, even though it was raining was almost magical!
I know I already reached the limit but I would still like to add the days I spend working on a biological farm in Andalusia, the Gnaua Festival in Essaouirra and running along the streets in Manhattan while it was raining, skinnydipping in Spain, cycling the streets of my town, drinking cappuccino at the piazza san Marco, teaching some kids in my school, the half year that I lived in Vienna, the warmwater baths in Budapest, I got obsessed by the Miramare castle in Trieste, swimming away from the rocky coastline in Finland, falling in love, ... Ah life is beautiful! :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about desserts and baking. I can teach English... I like to learn foreign words in different languages (I know how to swear in Polish :)) and I am very interested in learning to prepare traditional, regional, local, ... recipes.
