Sociologist, "activist" in my spare time, dreaming of a better world (who doesn't?)

I used to work into applied social research to try and implement better social policies for people in need.
Now (2020) I live and work in Chihuahua - Mexico working for a NGO in the human right field.

I try to denounced inequalities in Belgium society through a volunteering association we created with friends (inegalites.be)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used CS a lot in the past, I even decided to make it my Master thesis subject. It has been an incredible experience.
The best think about it was that interviewing people about CS in BElgium, I met people back then that became my best friends.

I have been a bit inactive in the past few year, but I am back on track! On my way for a 3 months trip in central america, I wanna meet some people on the road to make this trip memorable not only by the places but by the people.

Interests

I am passionate about social/human right movements, social fights and civil disobedience in general.
As I care for people as much as I care for the planet (as they are anyways interrelated), I also love to hear about all the good initiative set up to make the world a 'greener ' place.

I LOVE food. Cook and eat!!!!

I am quite a sportive girl (but never too serious about it) I used to play basketball ... I like biking around, running, trekking and swimming

I love travelling of course and discorver new landscape and people...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm open to all kind of music, but I especially like Latino Music and more generally world music (specialy woman singer- Flavia Coelho, La Yegros, Ibeyi, Mayra Andrade, Calypso rose, ...)
But I also appreciate old rock, Jazz, ska, Balkan music (like Emir Kusturica or Goran Bregovic)... etc...
Not a big fan of electro but waiting for someone who'll be pasionnate/patient enough to make me like it
