CURRENT MISSION

I'd like to do some travelling,like most other people on this site I'm looking to expand my horizons and learn about people's cultures first hand. I want to make friends, eat foods I've never heard of, see nature and explore the global community!

ABOUT ME

I live in a small town in New Jersey, USA about 30 minutes away from New York City. I can't promise you a couch but if you are in my neighborhood, send me a message and I can show you some cool spots for coffee, good food, or clubbing :)

I'm a little shy but I'm learning to be more social because I would hate to miss out on all the amazing people in the world that I can get the opportunity to know. I'm a writer, I want to document every moment and emotion in my experience on this Earth.

I'm into pop culture and sociology, I Love television, movies, books and Music. Who doesn't? =)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a very open minded person, pretty liberal minded but I don't align with any political parties, I'm a secular humanist, I'm always willing to help those who need it whenever I can. I was raised in a loving family, my parents emigrated to the U.S. from Kenya and I am grateful for everything they've done for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still new to this site, and I've only just heard of the organization, but I would like to try surfing this summer (2010) in Mexico. I wish I were able to provide a couch at this time, but I do not have my own place yet =) soon i will! I'm also eager to find out more about how I can participate in the CS community!

I love going to concerts, live performances! (I've seen Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Christina Aguilera, Jonas Brothers, Ryan Leslie, Rihanna, N.E.R.D.,)I really love social networking, I have a blog and a Facebook and Twitter. I'm a small town girl but I frequent New York City since I live only 30 minutes away! It's fun and I like to go out to clubs and museums and parks!
