About Me

ABOUT ME

Open-minded & thirsty in life experience! Always trying to be optimstic :-)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm all about the 'live life to the fullest, carpe diem' kind of philosophy. I am a very passionate person, be it in my hobbies or more generally, in the way i tend to feel and think about things.
When it comes to travelling, i don't see it as just discovering a new city or country, but more like getting a chance to experience the life in there, to discover the people's stories, to be allowed in their world for a little while.
It's about getting in touch with people i would never have had the chance to meet otherwise, discovering places that aren't necessarily listed in your best travel guide, but that have an emotional meaning important enough for my host to take me there... Of course when it comes to hosting, I try to do the same, if that's what you're into!

I'm currently planning my biggest trip ever in the US and Canada from November 2015 to January 2016, so I won't be able to host you for this time. I'm actually looking to meet and/or crash at someone's place ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my favourite website when it comes to travelling. I've met so many awesome people, either while I was abroad or when I got the chance to host travellers!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music and it's an important part of my life! I listen to a lot of different stuff, with a special interest in Punk rock music, which comes with a whole subculture. I go to shows almost every week, cause it's always cheap, and open to anyone! I'm not much of a musician myself, but I lend a hand when I can to friends when they plan shows, or make an artwork for their bands! It's all about the community, being respectful and open-minded and helping each other with our own hands (DIY)!! :-)

Here are a few of the movies I will love forever: gone with the wind, les demoiselles de rochefort, dog day afternoon, star wars, singing in the rain, back to the future, indiana jones, cyrano de bergerac, die hard, miyazaki movies, wayne's world...
I love popular cinema, cult movies, and in general, all kind of movies that fall between "huge blockbuster" and "obscure film d'auteur".

My favourite book is Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmont de Rostand. Cyrano is basically my soulmate, yep.
here are some other authors whose work also have significantly influenced myself: boris vian, terry pratchett, orwell, vonnegut, marcel aymé, haruki murakami. Also still very into harry potter. I was born in the 90's and basically grew up with it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nantes (France) to Ziguichor (Sénégal) by car. A one-week trip on the road and a couple week of traveling the country - awesome encouters and experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a basic course in photography : how a camera works, how to take good pictures, the different styles and purposes
I 'm a native french speaker, so I guess if you're willing to learn this complicated language, I can help!!
I can cook some pretty tasty vegan food. Yes, beware, for i am a vegan. ;-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I'm hosting: couch and sleeping stuff and towels, vegan food, directions and tips, and I can hang out depending on if I'm working or not!
