Overview
About Me
I am an early career scholar and lecturer in semiotics, and a translator from the English and the French;
I am fascinated by all kinds of instances of meaning, as well as misunderstandings;
Sometimes I think there might be meaning in rocks and stardust, too;
I tend to see values and judgements both relatively and absolutely, which means that two or three or more people with opposing attitudes can both or all be right – or wrong;
Love is all about stories, and sexuality is incredibly theatrical;
I am also quite fascinated by death. I tend to see it as one of the real big secrets of our modern lives, and a secret is never unattractive;
Make existence great again!

Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS: reading and translating H. P. Lovecraft;
MUSIC: at the moment I mostly listen to Heimat; Franz Schubert's The Trout quintet... I could go light-years listening to all sorts classical music, but I have also been marked by metal music, jazz, sound art and, more recently, psychedelic folk and american primitive. also play the cello once in a while (it has been a long while since I have, though...);
MOVIES: slowly watching L'Abécédaire de Gilles Deleuze with Claire Parnet; Stan Brakhage; Ralph Bakshi; recently, I kind of liked "Grave" by Julia Ducournau;
PAINTING: Odilon Redon; Marc Chagall;
