About Me

25yo guy from Lithuania, I believe that travel is the best thing one can do with their time and money. One is rich in experiences, adventures and relationships, not in material possessions. I want to keep going, keep learning and inspire others to do the same!

Over my short life I have had the luck of experiencing, observing and being part of many different cultures. I love to observe and learn and sometimes express my own beliefs if the situation allows.

Grew up in Lithuania, since then I have spent significant parts of my life in Scotland, Canada, Mexico, Portugal and Ireland while visiting many others. At the moment I live in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I have been part of the Couchsurfing community for a while. Due to my all over the place lifestyle never really had a chance to host, hopefully that will change soon. I have surfed myself a few times and always had great experiences, been to a couple meet ups as well. Always ready to bring good vibes and get to know anyone participating in this great community :)

P.S. Vegan, don't drink or smoke, but I have no issues hanging out with folks who do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Hoping to meet some great people, share stories and experiences, and willing to share my own couch once I have one.

Interests

My main interests/hobbies these days are politics, economics, environmental issues, music, cycling, motorsport and I'm crazy about basketball whenever the national team is playing. I enjoy travelling, meeting new people and learning about different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I would call myself a metalhead, but I'm open to all sorts of music, always ready to add something new to my collection.

Albums:
The Great Southern Trendkill by Pantera
Colors by Between the Buried and Me
Crack The Skye by Mastodon
IV by Black Mountain
Dissociation by The Dillinger Escape Plan
....and many others

Movies off the top of my head, Godfather, Scarface, Trainspotting, Fight Club, Intouchables, City of God, The Departed, Waking Life!

Favorite books would be anything by F.Dostoevsky, On The Road, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Moby Dick and any good travel story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cleaning up the beach in Galway, Ireland and becoming a minor celebrity for a little while.

Teach, Learn, Share

We live our lives to learn and travel, I try to learn every day from everyone I meet and every experience I have. There are no bad experiences, just good lessons. I have accumulated quite a bit of knowledge in various subjects over the years and if you can learn something from me I shall be very pleased. I guess I could teach basic Spanish, Lithuanian, English, do a crash course in sales and generally I'm not too bad at motivating people!

What I Can Share with Hosts

While I'm no master chef, always up for cooking a nice vegan meal.

I am a fairly resourceful individual both physically and mentally, willing to take up any task, so if you need some help moving furniture, scrubbing toilets or painting a mural on your living room ceiling just ask me and I'm more than happy to help out :)
