Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a couch in Sydney, Australia, and it was awesome! Looking for some more couches in the next travels (when I got money and time to travel again!)

Interests

I really love music. I feel amazed with the power of making me feel good that it has. I was used to play guitar and viola (10 strings brazilian guitar) but Im almost retired nowadays...
I also like sports, though I really suck at almost all! Recently I returned to skateboard. And I really want to learn how to surf!
And I think traveling and meeting new people and places are some of the coolest things a person can do.

Music, Movies, and Books

A lot of music.

Rock and Roll, Blues, Folk. I love brazilian music, samba, choro, baião, música caipira and so it goes... I think all brazilians should be proud of it. And I really like traditional music of different countries and places. I´m always opened to know some new kind of music!

Some of my favourites: Derek Trucks Band, Tinariwen, Dhafer Youssef, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Gilberto Gil, Alceu Valença, Almir Sater, Paulinho da Viola, Langhorne Slim, William Elliot Whitmore, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Sinatra, Jack Johnson...

Some movies I liked: Cinema Paradiso, Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Into The Wild, Whatever Works, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of The Rings and a lot more
I like so much animations as Up, Wall-E, Shrek and some more.

I´m not reading much in the past months, unfortunately. When I got time I really want to go back to books. I had read some Graphic Design stuff for the college. Recently I read some nice brazilian authors as Milton Hatoum (Cinzas do Norte) and Jô Soares (O Xangô de Baker Street - really funny. I also read The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy recently, and loved it!
I´m also a fan of Tolkien and all the Lord Of The Rings Universe

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a difficult question to answer.

I think the great concerts I´ve been may be the most incredible moments I witnessed.

So the times I went to a soccer stadium, the energy of the crowd, supporting the same team than you, singing, jumping, is simply incredible!

But I don´t think a moment need to be so big to be amazing. One simple afternoon shared with special people can be amazing. Watch a twilight in a gorgeous beach with special people can also be really amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I really want to learn how to surf. I'm also interested in learn some new languages. And learn more about photography, cause it's one of my favourites hobbies (and maybe it could become a profession)

I think i can teach basic photography, a bit of portuguese and basic guitar skills.
