About Me

Hi! My name is Paulo Ricardo, and I’m an engineer from Brazil with a great passion for traveling and learning about different cultures. I live in the beautiful region of Chapada dos Veadeiros, one of the most nice places in Brazil.

I work remotely as a BIM Modeler (Building Information Modeling), specializing in creating detailed models for architecture and engineering projects. This flexibility allows me to balance work and travel, which truly motivates me.

When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations, trying local foods, and creating travel videos to share on social media.

I’m an easygoing and curious person who loves meaningful conversations over a good cup of coffee or a beer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love connecting with people and sharing experiences. I’ve had wonderful moments with the Couchsurfing community in Brazil—meeting new friends, hosting travelers, and exchanging stories and cultures.

I look forward to meeting new friends, creating great memories, and maybe even welcoming you into my home someday!

For me, Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay; it’s about building connections and learning from others’ perspectives.

Interests

My main interest is to enjoy meaningful moments and get to know places through the perspective of the locals. I believe this is the best way to truly experience the essence of any destination.

Additionally, I’m a big fan of playing football (soccer). It’s not only a sport I love but also an amazing way to connect with local people, share some laughs, and build friendships through the universal language of the game.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music styles are Rock, Hip-Hop, and Blues, but I’m open-minded when it comes to music. I love discovering local sounds and unique rhythms wherever I go. Show me something new—I’m always excited to expand my playlist!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve traveled through several countries in South America.
Explored a big part of Brazil on a motorcycle.
I also built an ICF house (Insulated Concrete Forms) in the beautiful Chapada dos Veadeiros, which was an incredible experience.

Oh, and one time, I even played football against a professional team—an unforgettable memory!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m eager to improve my English and immerse myself in different cultures. I love learning through conversations and experiences, and Couchsurfing seems like the perfect way to do that!

In return, I’d be happy to share stories and insights about Brazil—our culture, traditions, and unique places to explore. I can also teach you some Portuguese, whether it’s basic phrases or expressions that Brazilians use every day.

I believe that learning and sharing go hand in hand, and I’m always open to meaningful exchanges, whether it’s language, travel tips, or simply good stories over coffee.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversations and memorable moments.

If you’re interested, I can teach you a bit of Portuguese or some fun Brazilian expressions.

If you enjoy sports, we could play some football or try something new together. And if you’re curious about construction or video editing, I’d be happy to share my experiences in these areas as well!
