About Me

The first thing that you should know about me is that I hate to write those kind of stuff because I always forget something. Well, I'm a journalist from Brazil (no, I'm not good with samba) and I lived in Portugal for one year as a Erasmus student.

In the past years, I had been in eleven countries (Brazil included) and I had met a lot of different people. That's the reason I joined Couchsurfing back in 2015: to know locals when I travel and, if I can, to host travellers from all around the world.

You should know I like to go out at night (pubs, clubs and whatever), but sometimes I prefer to stay at home with my best friend - Netflix. I'm a huge fan of Bon Iver songs (and his projects, like Volcano Choir), but I listen to almost every kind of music. And I LOVE photography. Sometimes, I like to go out with my camera to take some photos. You can check it out on my Instagram profile (@paulorobnetto).

I'm basically that kind of person who likes sometimes to walk around to find new places and spots.

Well, like I said I don't know if I say everything, but if I remember anything else, I'll write it down here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined the Couchsurfing when I arrived in Porto (Feb/2015) to know peoples from other countries - not only when I host, but also when someone host me.

Interests

When someone hosts me, I like to go out and know everything that I can about the city, the people who lives there, the local culture and the most amazing places - and it could be an awesome clubs (like in Madrid!) or a great museum.

When I host someone (and if the person want it and If I have time to spend), I like to show some spots in the city. Belo Horizonte is well-known as the "Garden City" for the large amounts of trees in the capital. There's some great places to see: the Pampulha Modern Ensemble, the Mangabeiras Park, the Santa Tereza neighborhood and lot more.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Bon Iver all the way. I'm also a fan of Volcano Choir and DeYarmond Edison. I like to listen Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen. Top 10 favorites also includes: Florence + The Machine, Billy Joel and the brazilian singers Chico Buarque and Elis Regina.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One year abroad in Porto (February 2015 to February 2016), which results in a book. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

No, I dont know anything about how to dance samba, I'm sorry! And I'm also a terrible soccer player - which makes me a terrible brazilian, I know! But I can teach you some words in Portuguese and show you some amazing brazilian singers!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you around the city (If I have free time). :)

Countries I’ve Visited
