About Me

Living in Edinburgh in a student housing cooperative, I am seeking to draw on the creative sparks and boundless energies of the 105 people I live with either for evil or to better express myself and our collective understandings of the world. I work as a guide around the highlands of Scotland, have just finished a physical theatre course in Edinburgh and seek to fill the rest of my time with intricate and meaningful moments between friends and strangers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living in Glasgow a few years ago, my flatmates and I would welcome almost anyone who needed or wanted a place to stay in the city. Since then, I have travelled about some more and met up with some of those who stayed with us in some other far flung part of the world.

With people from around the globe passing through the doors of our cooperative every day, the values of Couchsurfing are espoused all the time here. I look forward to taking that with me as I move around again.

Interests

I spend my working days talking with people from around the world as we travel around Scotland in a wee 16 seater bus and enjoy sharing aspects of the culture and changing politics here. Alongside a friend, I have begun to write more and seek to make this a more prevalent pursuit in my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Carried away on an undersized kayak off an island on the west of Scotland, I spent ten minutes bobbing on the sea with two orcas swimming underneath me. Astonishing, beautiful and then terrifying as the kayak began to deflate.
