About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Japan, India and on to London!

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy life to the fullest - see, hear, enjoy as much as you can, it all goes too fast!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can’t offer a couch at the moment, but if you’re anywhere near, give me a shout and we can meet up for drinks or I can show you around.

When couchsurfing, I chip in with food, cook, help with fuel when driving.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed before when I was travelling around Italy in the summer of 2007. It was a great experience and I'd recommend it to anyone!

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot of different books, at the moment my favourites are Paul Auster, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Milan Kundera, Siri Hustvedt.

As for music I listen to a lot of different genres - Iron & Wine, Joni Mitchell, Animal Collective, Django Reinhardt, Antony & the Johnsons, CocoRosie, Bonobo, Röyksopp, Coldcut, Felix da Housecat, Fischerspooner, Daft Punk, Björk, Herbert, Sufjan Stevens, Roisin Murphy, Feist, Kings of Convenience, Vincent Gallo, The Knife, PJ Harvey, Chet Baker, Portishead, Ryan Adams, Massive Attack, Basement Jaxx, Ladytron, Moloko, My Morning Jacket, Death Cab for Cutie, Kid606, Ed Harcourt, Gorillaz, Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse, Under Byen, Swayzak, Uffie... quite a bit of a mix!

I really like watching movies and try to go to the cinema as often as possible – I especially like anything by Pedro Almodovar, Woody Allen and Wes Anderson.

Arrested Development (!), Family Guy, Black Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've sat on the Great Wall, saw a tropical storm in North Australia at sunrise and stood in front of the Taj Mahal.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm keen to meet a variety of people and hear their stories, learn about their lives. I hope that I'll have knowledge or experience to offer in return.
