Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Become a better person by the day. Also learn Icelandic, surfing & knitting!
ABOUT ME
Engaged world citizen. Fierce nature lover. Currently living and working in Iceland.
I studied English and Spanish as foreign languages & cultures, and applied these to Communication, Economics, Philosophy and International matters.
PHILOSOPHY
Open, respectful, curious, authentic, compassionate. While being pragmatic on the situation of our planet and the challenges we face, I'm a forever optimistic person, trying to see the beauty in every little thing, the kindness in every living being, and the beams of light in our uncertain future. I am a "pragmatic idealist", if you will.
I believe that many things just taste better when shared, and I apply this philosophy on a daily basis now. I am proud to be part of the sharing ecosystem's growing community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am often going on adventures and always happy to share them with travel buddies!
I also got the chance to live awesome Couchsurfing experiences while road-tripping the UK and the US, with several wonderful hosts on the way - many thanks to all of them!
Interests
I enjoy sports (running, swimming, biking, climbing, hiking, kayaking,...), reading, watching movies and TV series, discovering new places, living adventures in the wilderness, meeting new people, discussing and sharing moments with them, understanding their culture, lifestyle, opinions, interests... And tell them about my home region if they are interested in knowing more about it! I also enjoy Philosophy in all its spectrum, and poetry in many ways.

Music, Movies, and Books
Huge fan of "The Lord of the Rings" Trilogy (don't blame me if I haven't read the books yet, I'm waiting to travel to New Zealand..!). The list of my favorite movies also includes The Matrix, Drive, Minority Report, True Grit, Promised Land, Wall E, Intouchables, The Lego Movie, Into The Wild, Wreck-it Ralph, Hector & The Search For Happiness, Fight Club, Tron Legacy, 300, Captain Fantastic, Her...
Also a fan of Rick & Morty, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Luther, Stranger Things, Sherlock, True Detective, Naruto, Death Note, etc...
I've read several books of diverse type, but my favorite one remains "L'Homme Qui Voulait Être Heureux"/"The Man Who Wanted to Be Happy" by Laurent Gounelle. Into The Wild is a must, also.
And I love many, many types of music ; from Indie, Bluegrass, Soundtracks, Electro Swing, French New Wave, Chillout Beats, to Rock, Classical, Blues, Folk and Soul ; my eclectic personality is definitely reflected in my super-messy playlist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen marvellous Northern Lights in Lapland, went rock climbing in Oregon, road tripped the US West Coast, contemplated glaciers in Alaska; I went grape picking in the Northeast of France, visited countless monuments and castles around Western Europe, bungee jumped in tandem... And, I guess, now settled in Iceland!
Also finished Portland Full Marathon in 2013 as well as San Francisco Half-Marathon in 2016!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been teaching French to English and Spanish speakers while abroad.
I really enjoy sharing knowledge and passions, skills and thoughts, and try my best to keep learning new things all the time, which makes life way more exciting when you think of it.
Currently, I try to self-practice the harmonica, sing all over the place, and unlock my dancing skills!
Also very attracted by martial arts, tai chi, yoga...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Thoughts about life, travel stories and suggestions about where to go and what to see is this wonderful world, some of my culture, philosophical insights and positive optimistic vibes! Also, French, my network and knowledge, and just about everything.
