I'm a web designer who has recently moved to Pattaya from Chiang Mai (before that Innsbruck and Lancashire). I saw couch surfing when I was in Chicago 6 years ago..... I thought it was a great idea. Hotels are generally awful and you don't get a real feel of the place.
