About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To better myself in every way possible
ABOUT ME
I love life. I'm fun, interesting, engaging, and love new things. I'm an outdoor enthusiast. I love traveling and going on road trips. I enjoy music of all kinds, but my favorite is more laid back indie stuff. My favorite music artist is Ben Folds. He is one of the few people in the music industry who knows what's going on.
I'm studying Arabic and Middle Eastern studies, and I'll be traveling to Jordan this fall to further my studies.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm just a regular guy trying to get through life one day at a time. That's all I can expect or desire. I live my life because this world is a beautiful place and there is so much to discover.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to surf and I love to host. I love meeting new people from around the country, and around the world along their travels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only surfed once and hosted once. I created a profile back in the day and was verified and everything, but I deleted my profile but now I'm back. My first time surfing was in the Bronx. My brother and I needed a place to crash for the night and a retired Catholic Priest offered his home to us. He was such a great host.
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
East of Eden by Steinbeck is probably my favorite book of all time. It is fantastic!
Ben Folds is my favorite musician. He's one of the few in the business that really knows what life is all about. I like a lot of other indie stuff and smaller less popular bands. Guster is something I've been listening to lately as well as Barcelona. They're great!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many to pick just one. But if I must...
I went on a week long canoe trip up the Allagash River in Northern Maine with my brother. Being on the river in nature was beautiful. We saw nature at its best. We saw moose. Probably the most amazing thing I saw on that trip was a Mother Moose and her calf. The mother was injured and scraped up, probably from defending her calf against a predator, but she was still standing there defiant beside her baby. That is raw bravery.
Teach, Learn, Share
I just want to somehow have a small effect on this world for good. If that's just teaching somebody about things I've learned along the way that have changed my outlook on life or the world I'd teach and share that with anybody I'd come in contact with. I also love learning, both knowledge and skills. I've had some rough experiences in my life, and still do. I don't want to go into detail here, but I do share what I've learned.
