About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To bring a different perspective on traveling the world by sharing my experiences with anyone and everyone. And to become Capt. PhOx.

ABOUT ME

My dog Zephyr and I are hitchhiking around the country and maybe overseas if possible. We are filming a web series called "No Destination: A Travel Show." It is about the art of travel and the people, culture, food, beer, art, music, and many other things we come across.

Mission: To gain an understanding of travel and it's many sub-cultures. Also, to see what I have not seen, be where I have not been, eat and drink the local yumminess, and find the dives and the interesting lives.

I do my best to keep a positive mind and spirit but also keep to the ground as well. Despite what some may think, I'm pretty damn intelligent.

I have a dog named Zephyr. He is the chillest, most respectful dog I know. He is an 8 year old Australian Shepard with a multitude of other breeds mixed in. He is my priority and he is my best-friend. He is well trained, loving, respectful, and healthy. He truly loves being on the road as much as I do.

I don't do drugs. I don't smoke pot though it dosnt bother me if you do. But if your idea of exploring the city is smoking pot all day in your basement, or anywhere for that matter, then I am not interested.

I like genuine people and I try to be as genuine as I can. Which in turn means I tend to speak my mind and try to challenge yours. But all in good fun.
I do drink (yummy micro-brews and wines), but I don't drink to get wasted.

Tactics: Hitchhiking, sailing, and small airplanes. The occasional bus and train ride if under $40 and no more then three hours. Money is made by busking or insisted gift. No flying a sign or asking for money or food.

PHILOSOPHY

"Do what you love, even if no one believes your doing it."

"The world is my playground."

"Lead by example, not by force."

"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."-Douglas Adams

I want to learn everything there is to know.

Two years ago I wasn't really a dog person. Then I got a dog and now, well now I'm a dog person.

"I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug."-Hippocratic Oath (Modern)

Love. I don't know it very well, but somehow it knows me better then I know myself!

Music, Movies, and Books

My bible is The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. My favorite books of all time are the The Golden Compass Trilogy (Books..not the movie). I love anything by Carl Sagan, Bruce Coville (My teacher is an Alien), That silly fantasy stuff. The list goes on...

My idols are is Indiana Jones and Anthony Bourdain. The TV show I watch is Firefly. I watch it over and over agian cuz it only aired for one (14 episode) season. Im a medical nerd so I love House M.D. and even watch Grey's Anatomy on occasion. I miss the show "ER" which I watched every morning before I went to school. I enjoy most shows on the Travel channel. I loved the X-Files and I will watch just about any documentary you through at me. I'm a visual learner so educational TV is my friend.

Radiohead is all I really need in life, but I do love a lot of different music. I have a weird obsession with soundtrack music. I love anything that has more then one language in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sledded down Mt. Everest...naked...while singing, or more like screaming,"...this monkeys gone to heaven..." by the Pixies.

Okay, that didn't really happen, but it would be awesome if it did. I guess I had seen that image in my head, and it was pretty amazing :)

Life is amazing.
