Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like people, I like making friends and I like helping out. I think the CS spirit is very close to my nature and there you go...that's why I'm here.
I think that most people have a wrong idea about what Couchsurfing really is so let me make it crystal clear about how I see it.
First off, Couchsurfing is a COMMUNITY, that means it's central purpose is human interaction not getting a sleeping space for free, for such a purpose as an attachment free sleeping space there are hotels and hostels and Airbnb and whatever other option are out there.
Not once have I been treated and I felt like my house was treated as a hostel or something of that sort.
Truth be told, if you come through Brno requesting to stay one night, well one evening is not enough to get to know Brno, even to visit Brno, so those requests get a no no, I'm not available to host answer automatically.
Further more, my house is not a shelter for students that come for study's and the university fucks up their hosting, so mothers, I feel your pain, but give the brats some money for a hostel when you send them to study in another country, just to be on the safe side, if all is good they'll find occasions to spend the extra money I'm sure because my house is not a shelter. Sorry, but I have to be blunt about it.
Lastly, if you request to stay in my house please make sure you're ready to hang out, make new friends, have nice conversations and last but not least, you're set to visit the shit of of my town, eat the local food and drink the best beer in the world.
Otherwise don't request to start with, because I am flexible, but I'm not a hostel on your way to wherever.
