Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since it’s reasonably healthy to escape the National Library now and then, I try to travel around, and experience proves that there’s hardly more gratifying way to do it than to hang out with locals. That’s where CS comes in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m not a big fan of lists and not a particularly systematic listener, so I’m just gonna randomly throw some all time favourites out there: Stravinsky, Glass, Piazzolla, Caetano Veloso, Leonard Cohen, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Frank Zappa, Laurie Anderson, Robert Ashley, Haruomi Hosono, Roxy Music etc.

Considering movies, Sergei Eisenstein and early Russian cinema, early Otar Ioseliani and late Kira Muratova, french-new-wave-ish Louis Malle and Éric Rohmer, Manoel de Oliveira and Miguel Gomes, 90s Wong Kar-wai. Apart from that, I must say that I rewatch Cowboy Bebop quite frequently.

I guess I might be able to give you an insight into some basic [philosophy of] linguistics, if you’re interested in getting to know the topic :) Or at least share a more or less decent conversation. And a drink, naturally!
