Overview
About Me
Pavlína:
I'm 22 years old and I'm studying at the Masaryk University in Brno. To earn some money for the studies, I have a part time-job as an HR Assistant.
I love motorbikes! I'm riding them since I was 16. Unfortunately, recently I've had to decide to sell my bike, because I have no longer time for it.
I like trips to the nature and camping. I also enjoy dancing! I used to be part of the country dance group Zuzana and we were one of the best in the Czech republic at the time.
I like art. When I was younger, I used to make jewelry from wires and beads, later also from FIMO(polymer clay). Nowadays, I create paintings by acrylic paints in my free time. Do you want a new hairstyle? Just ask me, it's my big hobby. I even have a summer job as a hair stylist every year.
I'm quite cheerful and curious and I really love adventures. And of course, as every girl, I'm a shopaholic :)
Jakub:
I'm 26 years old and I live in Brno(2nd biggest city in Czech republic) and now I work for heavy industry company as a purchaser. I used to work as a house builder, bartender, hotel animator, dj and a party promoter.
I go to the gym to keep myself fit and I like to play beach volleyball in the summer. I'm open-minded kind of person. Do you have any new adventures for me? Ok, I'm in! I've allways loved music, parties and good fun, but also nice trip to the nature or sightseeing tour through the town are very interesting for me.
On weekends I often help my grandfather to grow fruits and vegetables on his small field. He's 82, yet he refuses to admit, that he is too old for it.
As any Czech man, I can appreciate good beer. When I was younger, I started to collect paper beer coasters. Few years ago, my father joined me in my effort and now our collection counts over 2000 different coasters.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Pavlína:
I use CouchSurfing to meet different people from different countries. I want to learn about their culture from them, not from books at school. I prefere experiences to theory.
Jakub:
I like traveling! I mean the real traveling, not staying at All inclusive hotel for two weeks and doing nothing. I wanna meet the locals who have it the same way and hear about their country from them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pavlína:
My favorite music is Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Sia, Offspring, Fifth Harmony, Within Temptation, ... But I don't mind listening to any kind of music.
I like lot of movie genres - comedies, romantic movies, thrillers, action movies, historical movies. Which one I choose, usually depends on my mood. Nowadays, I enjoy watching TV series such as Vikings and Game of Thrones.
If you want to get a couch, write into your request ''Moravian''.
Jakub:
I fell in love with music when I was little boy and I'm still recognizing new things I like. If somebody asks me what kind of music I like, I allways say that I like the good music, no matter the style. How do I know it's good? I have goosebumps when I hear it. I still have my gramophones and I enjoy listening to my vinyls.
From movies I prefere sci-fi. What I absolutely hate are stupid Hollywood comedies.
I really like Vikings TV series.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jakub:
What I consider as amazing, is my decision to leave university and rather go abroad to work there for six months. It has changed my life in many ways and I'm really glad for it.
