Overview
About Me
I build bridges. European languages to English. Punk to business. Marketing to developer. Yogi to scientist.
I grew up in Germany amongs Brits, fled to the UK pretty much the day I came of age... and 13 years later, I am back in the place my grandparents started out. Life is funny like that.
I enjoy languages, travel (suprise!), cooking and eating and everything related, theatre, live music, history and yoga. I've recently qualifiied as a yoga teacher, but am far from the woo-woo type.
I live with my gf of 6 years, who is training to be a baker. If you are gluten-free, we might not be the best people to hang out with, although we are happy to provide for veggies and vegans - we are neither but organic stuff and sustainability is big for us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been on CS pretty much since it existed. Since 2008, I have hosted in Germany, London and Japan, way more than I have surfed other people's couches.
After receiving more than 20 requests per day in London and being treated like a hostel on multiple occasions, I'm not really keen on hosting anymore, but very happy to show people around and meet for drinks, meals and other kinds of fun.
Interests
cooking, baking, traveling, reading, theatre, ballet, writing, painting, anything artsy really, culture in all of its aspects - food, writing, history, learning languages... I have a thing for yoga, vegetarianism and all hippy things, but am not too serious about any of them ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
life itself!
Teach, Learn, Share
My two biggest obsessions might be history and food/cooking, both with a big focus on Europe and Asia and love teaching people to cook (mostly vegetarian, often vegan - although I do sometimes eat fish and very rarely, meat).
I always appreciate people I can practise my French, Spanish and Japanese with, whilst offering German and English practice :)
Furthermore, I'm a theatre geek and love taking people out for obscure stage experiences :) (classic Shakespeare plays are allowed, too).
