About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save up enough money to buy a boat house.

ABOUT ME

I am a father, beer-taster, books-lover and former hitch-hiker. I've sailed a few miles too. Meat-not-eater, but not a vegetarian though.
What I like in traveling the most is the people I can meet and talk to, and the journey itself. It can describe me a bit, I guess.
But hey, it's not everything about me of course! Find out by yourself!

PHILOSOPHY

Live not to regret anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tell all my good friends about CS and make them set up a profile. I surf couches and I host too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've tasted some Berlin's nightlife thanks to Sander. A stay in Brussels in Arina's huge flat was a marvelous experience. Easter in Oslo with Anette was a colorful blast! Pub crawl with Alex in Turku was endless fun. Vilnius Day (or rather night) with Ruta and her friends was awesome. Magical ocean in picturesque Porto with Sara and her family gave me strength before my son was born. Thanks to Maria, Julius and their three daughters my son spent his first birthday in a great, friendly and ultra-warm place in Paris.I've also hosted some (~100) couchsurfers too. Lots of them thanks to the "Last minute couch request" group in Warsaw.

Interests

Travelling, talking, tasting beers in coutries I visit, modern art, eating good food. I wish I had more time to read.

Music, Movies, and Books

music: rather alternative bands of all genres
movies: rather not mainstream (any point of writing them all?
books: those by Norman Davies, also from Vonnegut to Proust, those by Ryszard Kapuscinski (famous Polish journalist and traveller), Nicolas Bouvier and other writers-travellers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to the minefield on the slope of the mountain in Croatia. Swimming in the Atlantic Ocean on 16th od December in Portugal was also quite challenging.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking! I'm always keen to try new meals (provided it's not meat). I can also share my small knowledge about cooking too.
