About Me

I want to meet interesting people and brighten their lives. I enjoying sharing ideas with new people and adventuring. Being outdoors as much as possible is always a good idea. I love science and art.

I've hosted ~50 people directly and indirectly (many were technically through a roommate's or neighbor's profile, but we took a communal approach to hosting when possible) and wouldn't trade any of it for the world.

I've lived in:
Omaha, NE
Warszawa, Poland
Tulsa, OK
Oklahoma City, OK
Orange County, CA
Dallas, TX
Silicon Valley, CA

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to:

1) Allow for serendipity and synchronicity to work their grand, cosmic plan

2) Expand my ways of thinking by learning about interesting people, subjects, and cultures

Interests

I am deeply curious and love learning. If you have a depth of knowledge on almost any topic I will be interested. I have a technical background but took sales and marketing jobs to broaden my perspective. I love learning about fitness, diet, and investing.

Life is about improving yourself and others.

Hobbies include:
-- gloving (I own a gloving company making the baddest lights around, check out www.FuturisticLights.com and feel free to ask me for a lightshow in person)
-- brazilian jiu-jitsu (started a few months ago, but I'm hooked!)
-- cooking awesome food (to be featured in a stomach near you!)
-- playing with my 2 awesome dogs
-- working out (could be anything from lifting weights to playing soccer to hiking a mountain)
-- gardening (I've finally slowed the attrition rate of my plants and have a flourishing garden complete with pineapple sage, cilantro, basil, citrus trees, succulents, and flowers)
-- life optimization (oh boy, diet, meditation, happiness, etc)
-- helping others achieve their goals
-- plan on becoming an astronaut or space traveler!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Growing up in the midwest, torrential thunderstorms were no stranger. Once, I remember driving -- trying to drive -- home in such a downpour that I had to pull over in a mall parking lot cause driving with 5 feet of visibility wasn't working so well. Tornadoes, ripped off shingles, torn down fences -- if not the norm, these things were like seeing that one distant cousin at family get togethers every few years.

Driving down the interstate going 75mph wasn't "smart." But when there's only the occasional semi to pass, hydroplaning becomes a lot more exciting. Of course, there is that moment of blindness as you approach the semi and are directly in it's splash zone.

We arrived at the music festival, Wakarusa, held in the Ozark Mountains around nightfall. We came prepared. We set a massive, 12 ft totem out the sunroof of a camry, complete with PA and professional lighting panels. The party came to us as we waited in line.

To be continued...

Teach, Learn, Share

I've studied physics, electrical engineering, psychology, and philosophy. Teaching and learning are my true passions in life. Willing to listen, ask intelligent questions, and learn on just about anything!

I can speak on most academic subjects at a basic to intermediate level, teach basic cello or percussion, teach basic brazilian jiu jitsu and muay thai.

Basically, just ask!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, laughs, experiences. Love cooking and more than willing to whip something up in the kitchen. Bartended professionally for 2 years making fancy drinks.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Italy, Mexico, Poland
