ABOUT ME

I'm rather an open-minded person, so we can talk about various topics from daily affairs through what's the meaning of life to why self-assertion is important or not. I also like to participate in or just talk about cultural events, and anything what sounds like interesting story is appealing. Unfortunately I'm not into gossips, so I can't tell much about Justin Bieber's new girlfriend and the like ;) I'm sometimes funny, sometimes serious, always friendly :) I've got along with various types of people in my life, and they and I are still alive ;) I usually spend my time in an active way, but an evening beer or wine, or even just tea on your or mine couch sounds great.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that people who particiapate in Couchsurfing have a great advantage of seeing and experiencing the world from a better perspective than those who travel and stay in a hotel. By meeting with local people travelers have a chance to know their customs, and they can see reality of those who inhabit the place.

Interests

I'm interested in language and how it affects our way of looking at things. I'm also curious to know what other cultures are like, and how people differ across the countries (and what things they have in common, we are humans after all). It's very often food that is characteristic of nations, and I like to learn about new dishes or tastes. Sometimes I read articles and books, I like theatre, music and movies. Besides I admire photographers of various kind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm.. it's a difficult section, and nothing comes into my mind right now. Ok, it is easier to tell about something amazing. One day in the summer I walk out onto a balcony and see amid flowers a birdlike creature which later turns out to be the hummingbird hawk-moth. Out of blue and quite amazing.

I don't think I have any special skills, but I can teach you few basketball moves, and we can practice our english which will happen anyway since it is a language host and guest usually speak ;)
