About Me

Vaccination
–––
I received the bivalent booster in September '22. When it comes to hanging out, I don't care about your vaccination status. However, I am currently only hosting vaccinated surfers.

Food
–––
I’m a veggie-saurus!

Background
–––
I grew up in New York and have since lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Arizona, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Vermont, and now Washington.

I work as a software engineer. I enjoy painting and talking about life, the universe, and everything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got started with Couchsurfing as a host back in 2008. It was such a great experience hosting people from around the world. Back then, I lived in Flagstaff; it was a popular destination back then.

My first experience with "couchsurfing" actually predated CS: for a month, I lived with a host family in Ecuador. Both my gracious hosts and I participated in the Experiment in International Living program. BTW, if you know any young people, look into the program and share it with them.

I believe in the mission and philosophy of CS :)

How I Participate
–––
I have hosted both U.S. and international couchsurfers. Open to exploring Seattle with visitors.

My CS Experience
–––
I have surfed once so far, and it was a great experience.

Interests

I enjoy the performing arts, museums, wine and cheese parties, pizza parties, painting, and writing. I'm also interested in politics and philosophy.

To be honest, it's been a while since I've painted and writing. Feel free to tell me about your hobbies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled throughout the southern islands of the Galapagos Archipelago as a teen. The animals were amazing and the night sky was utterly beautiful. That was a long time ago; I'd love to go again.

Teach, Learn, Share

Brown dwarfs and stars have a common provenance in the giant molecular clouds of interstellar space. Unlike stars, due constraining mechanisms, brown dwarfs are prevented from becoming sufficiently massive to fuse hydrogen in their cores. However, they can fuse deuterium -- the second isotope of hydrogen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My thoughts, feelings, and my perspective. That said, I am humble enough to be quiet and just listen and learn from others.
