About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To discover the beautiful city of San Francisco, while living vicariously through the travelers that pass through here
I'm a software designer working at a ed-tech company (Coursera) in Northern California. I moved to San Francisco in hopes of getting involved in the incredible innovation at the intersection of design and technology happening in Silicon Valley. I love digital products and I want to have a hand in creating something people will find useful.
PHILOSOPHY
There is no predetermined and ultimate truth. Every day, I try to break things around me and find new ways of doing things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've done a lot of travelling around the world, but at the moment I'm settled into a job here. So while I'm staying here, I like to share what this city has to offer to others. I know how hard it can be to find the hidden treasures of a city when you're visiting it for the first time, so I love showing my guests things they won't find in tourist guide books.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started hosting in March 2012 to share what I love about San Francisco (especially the Mission District) with travelers passing through. I've met some of the most amazing people and have shared some unforgettable times with them.
Interests
I live and breathe Design and Photography. It's what I do for a living and I absolutely love it! To stay active, I love biking, rock climbing, yoga and swimming. I don't care for small talk. I just enjoy kickin' it with great people and having deep conversations about things we're passionate about.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies about travelling and adventure such as 180º South, Baraka, Touching the Void, A Map for Saturday... Movies about the end of the world - 28 Days later, The Road... or any movies that makes a good effort at the future.
Music... too many to name, but Michael Jackson was the first artist I remember listening to. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were the reason I decided to start playing a guitar. And generally a fan of most DJs and electronic music producers who've been on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One summer my friends and I went on a camping excursion where we had to carry everything we had on our backs. This meant taking only what we needed and nothing more. We canoed and portaged for miles and miles. To survive, and to finish the journey, we had to use every last bit of strength we had to paddle and hike through the Canadian wilderness. I had never felt such a strong connection with my body and mind up until that point. The trip also made me realize just how little I needed to survive, and it made me really think critically about my consumption habits and its impacts on the environment. I can't wait to be back out there!
Teach, Learn, Share
1. I recently moved to SF and still have a traveller's mentality. When you travel to a new place, you have a fresh perspective, and are often more hungry, than the locals, to experience everything the place has to offer. Since being here, I've actively been going on biking and hiking trips on weekends and exploring different flavors of SF.
2. I'm in love with great food. I've found a lot of hidden treasures around the city, which I can recommend to you. Or you can just join me on my quest to find new ones!
3. I'm a photographer. If you've been wondering how to use that camera of yours, I can teach you a few fundamentals that will get your well on your way. Also, I know a lot of great spots for taking beautiful photos.
