About Me

Hello! Do as you will, do as you wish, follow your bliss...for me, that means traveling more. I hope to have 40 stamps in my passport before I turn 40!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done a lot of traveling throughout the U.S., but now I'd like to visit the world! I've meet a lot of interesting people on couch surfing through an old roommate, so naturally, joining the site seemed like a good idea as I want to travel more internationally. I also like to connect with travelers when they visit DC. It's so much fun to show others some local attractions that don't show up in a tourist guide. DC has the reputation of being a stiff, uptight city, so it's always great to prove people wrong!

I've spent the entire month of August traveling abroad for four straight years, from 2016 - 2019. I'm hoping to continue this trend and continue visiting multiple countries on every continent (except Antartica).l. The world is so amazing and full of adventure, and I hope to experience as much as I can while I'm able to.

Interests

Beer, bike riding, domestic and international policy, sports, non-fiction novels, karaoke, exercising, art. General fun and all around merriment.

My job which helps promote teacher quality in the U.S. We do great things to ensure that all kids have a quality education.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - I Just Want My Pants Back, Art of War, Issac Asimov's Robot series, anything by Chuck Palahniuk
Movies - Heat, Dazed and Confused, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Dogma
Music - 311, Biggie Smalls, Jurassic 5, the Lox, Incubus. Pretty much anything with a beat that isn't death metal

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked at a summer camp for children with disabilities the summer before I started college. It gave me a new perspective on privilege and class that I never anticipated and changed my perceptions based on physical appearances.

What I Can Share with Hosts

amazing stories of the places in public that I've passed out at. How to karaoke like a champion.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Jamaica, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
