Über mich

We are a young married couple (in our 30s) from Santiago de Chile, and we want to break our status quo. We want to live experiences that will enrich us and help us develop as people. We love to travel, and our longest, most distant and most adventurous journey started in november 2016. We are passionate workers and we cook really well too! We were university and high school teachers. We adapt to everything and are open to all possibilities for adventure.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

We really want to meet people and culture, and watch the real life in other places, so we are looking to experience that. We started traveling since we were little so both of us are travelers by nature, but we have also hosted other travelers (friends and others who have known around the world), so we know what it takes to be a good guest and host, we are empathetic and sensible to the needs of others, as experience has taught us.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

We love the 80´s and 90´s music, and we are really fan of all kind of movies. We love Armaggedon and Tarkovski equally. About book, Paz loves "Cien años de soledad" by Gabriel García Márquez, and Mauricio is a fanatic of Arturo Perez Reverte, especially "The Dumas Club".

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Paz organized a cycle of zombie filmswith all the George Romero movies in Santiago de Chile. It was amazing and really fun.

Mauricio went to visit the exact place where Nietzsche created his work "Thus spoke Zarathustra" in Silvaplana, Switzerland.

Something really amazing that we both did was that we sold all our belongings, left our jobs and started traveling around the world with our cat.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

We are professors, in the university (Mauricio as a sociologist) and social groups, workshops, schools (Paz, as a specialist in gender studies), so we always have anecdotes and stories and we enjoy sharing them.

Mauricio is a very good digital artist and Paz is a very passionate fan of lettering and art with watercolor. He has also done many walking city tours back in Santiago of Chile, in spanish and english.

Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann

We are very good homeowners. We can both cook, wash clean, iron, we have worked in homebuilding (for our families and friends). We can make beautiful brick walls, clean like birds in Snow White and we both enjoy nature. We also like a good movie with a glass of wine. We love animals so we are used to fur, droppings and kickbacks. For us it is always great to share a good conversation about anything!!! We are always looking out for new things to learn.
