Hi, I'm Jenny!

I'm in the midst of completing my Masters degree in French.

I live and work in Knoxville, TN, which is great because it is close to nature!!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a staunch humanist, even though people let other people down. I believe in human potential, even if we don't always live up to it.

Always tell the truth.

People need to stop doing what they think SHOULD make them happy and just do what ACTUALLY makes them happy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first experience couchsurfing on a summer road trip and was instantly won over.
Now, I always take it into account in my travels.

I have hosted a few times, but right now my living situation is too erratic to do so, unfortunately.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most kinds of movies, but the ones I watch over and over are lighthearted comedies or classics from childhood. My all-time favorite movie is probably The Goonies.

I've heard that the definition of a good song is one that can be stripped down to just a voice and an acoustic guitar and still be good. I tend to agree.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The two most strikingly beautiful places I've ever been were on the same trip: the Alps in Grenoble and the Mediterranean coast in Nice. Wowzah!

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak French fluently and have quite a few years of dance experience in a variety of styles.

One of my favorite hobbies is rock climbing! If you are a climber, Knoxville is about 45 minutes from some great outdoor areas. We can go together and learn from each other!

I also know how to iron and sew.
