to find a way to chill out and just enjoy life, while at the same time pursuing big dreams. Hoping tantra yoga and meditation can help me with that.

ABOUT ME

I identify as a Russian-American hippy, trying to make my way through a PhD in physics at MIT with combining quantum gravity and Buddhist spirituality, and thus, naturally, working in theoretical biophysics and origins of life. Once that finally fails, I will abandon everything and start a business. Happy New Year!!!!!

PHILOSOPHY

The main limitations any of us have are imposed by ourselves. We are all capable of great things, more than we can imagine, but only very few of us truly believe that, and dare to stretch the limits of our potential.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of open and connected world where people welcome each other and strive to learn and enrich their own world view through friendship, rather than avoiding the world due to fear.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've spent 6 months some time ago travelling and met amazing people through CS. It was a life-changing experience. Since then, I'm participating in CS events and try to meet new people whenever I travel.

Interests

I enjoy intellectual conversations, about philosophy, politics, economics or science, but also try to understand and see the value in small-talk and connecting over activities.

I'm really enthusiastic about understanding the amazing things in this universe -- and so I chose a career of physics. However, I am fascinated about other aspects of this world as well, including music (I play sax and others), sports (all kinds, but Ultimate Frisbee and snowboarding in particular), dancing (salsa, swing, ballroom...), mountains, sunsets, people (all kinds), etc, etc, etc.
