About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Rapidly prototyping a minimum-viable life.

ABOUT ME

I am Canadian, though I'm Portuguese when it suits. Usually I live in Canada. Right now I live in the capital eh.

Traveled to and worked in Liverpool for the better part of a year once upon a time, stumbled into some excellent Irish roommates.
Spent 3 months kicking about in Europe in what was the singular most interesting thing I've ever done. Happy to talk about it, but try not to be the one to bring it up.
Subsequently enrolled in an Ontarian university the way the majority of young Ontarians do, though I exchanged away to Singapore in third year and it was there that I met the enduring love of my life: noodle soup.

I don't really have any exceptional hobbies: I'm into reading, I like friendly people, and I like tea.

PHILOSOPHY

I suppose I feel like most ways of looking at the world have some merit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not much recently, admittedly. I've never really had the political power to force a CouchSurfing mandate in any of the places I've lived thus far.
Like meeting people though. Everyone's someone, after all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Started in Scotland, and had a long run in Europe during the summer of 2009. Also camped out with a handful of interesting Indonesians in 2011, some exceptional Estonians in 2015, and a bunch of brilliant Bulgarians in 2017.

Interests

I have no interests.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a hopeless music fan, although I've been pretty bad at it since I learned about podcasts. I will say I'm a sucker for hi-hats.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I make a mean bowl of instant ramen.

Teach, Learn, Share

Once thing I've learned is that you can mostly bring less of most stuff but you usually want too much underwear.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I feel like quotidian expenses are pretty important considering the necessity of reproducing yourself as a worker and all that. Usually try to buy groceries or something else from the supermarket.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Singapore, United Kingdom
