ABOUT ME

I love life! I love trying new things, learning new things and getting to know interesting people. I am probably the most curious person on the face of the Earth. I'm genuinely interested in almost anything...except Sci-fi, Physics and Oceanography.

I love hearing people's stories. I usually forget names but hardly ever forget personal anecdotes.

I am from the deep (American) south, and I love it. Sometimes when I'm homesick I let my southern accent come out just so I can hear the sound of home.

I tend to get along best with passionate, intelligent people.

One of my favorite things to do on a lazy weekend afternoon is go to a local coffee shop and read for hours. I love coffee, coffee houses and coffee culture. Julius Meinel coffee is my absolute favorite.

I just recently discovered hookah cocktails. I think they're fabulous.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe all human beings are interconnected. What is done to one effects all, directly or indirectly.
I believe love is the most powerful thing in the world. I believe everyone has a calling in life in which they use their strengths to better the lives of others. To spread love.
I try to live as openly and honestly as possible and live as deeply as possible. Life's short. Do it big.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am looking to ease into the community and surf around Europe.
I just moved into a small village in southern Ukraine a couple months ago. I live with an old Ukrainian lady in her house, and I do not feel comfortable opening up a couch just yet. Maybe later.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: such eclectic taste. I like a little of everything. Classical - Beethoven symphonies, Burton flute sonata, Shostakovich and Mozart opera are my favs
Fem - Ani DiFranco and Tori Amos are my top two. also dig Regina Spektor and Ingrid Michaelson
Country/Folk - Dixie Chicks, Carrie Underwood, Andy Statman
I just love music.

Movies: was raised on American movies from the 1930s-60s, so those are my fav. Myrna Loy, William Powell, Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Maureen Ohara, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope, Cary Grant, great stuff. I also love a well-researched documentary and artsy foreign film. Yep, I'm one of those kids.

Books: Joyce Carol Oats is my favorite author, but Jody Picoult and VC Andrews books are my guilty pleasures. Also enjoy Anais Nin, the Brothers Grimm, Thomas Mann and Poe. You know, now that I'm reading this I'm realizing that I have pretty dark tastes in literature.
