About Me

CURRENT MISSION

World Peace, seriously.. see occupation

ABOUT ME

I am 23, working as a PCV in Tigray region. My town is actually Atsbi which is 40 min to the east of the town of Wukro/(the main road through Tigray). I am lucky enough that with advance notice I can even play tour guide/translator. My town only has about 7 thousand people and I mostly work as an HIV/AIDS educator, but I do a few other things... I love to read, write, and argue(polietly). I have two seperate rooms so if you come you can count on a couch/bedish mattress and a lock and key to yourself. I'd love to cook but the two or three resturants aren't that expensive. I look forward to any visitors, from any country, speaking any language.

PHILOSOPHY

Ganzabka (what's mine is yours in Tigryna). I was a philosophy major... I won't bore you with the truth(if it exists).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about this from a friend who is a PCV in Desse. I won't mention his name but he's had a lot of surfers and it came highly recomended. Being in the PC is rather isolated and having someone come by speaking any language other than the local can't be a bad change of pace.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Ethiopia they strap a live goat to the top of the bus and let the goat surf at speeds of 100km down the unpaved roads...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you a lot of survival skills, and I am learning a lot about HIV/AIDS in Africa. I've read a lot of Philosophy, but am unsure of my actual ability to teach it, but I'd love to talk about it. I probably can fix your computer if somethings broken.
