About Me

CURRENT MISSION

not become jackass old man

ABOUT ME

I am a passionate supporter of the good ship Friend, and a firm believer in general silliness.

I think that zeppelins and dolphins are really the coolest thing. I think about this probably twice a day for 2-5 minutes.

I really really love my friends and steal most of my ideas from them. I wish my friends ran the government.

I can get by on my own, but I prefer to do it with some open hearted people around me. and more preferably while consuming breakfast(s).

I work with kids, because they are generally also believers in general silliness and I think childcare is a very helpful part of our society. I also looooooove a well written song. So much.

PHILOSOPHY

I saw a shirt once that said defeat awkwardness with maximum ridiculousity.

Songs are also great teachers:
"Love it's like a interstate, it gets you from place to place, but it's littered with dead raccoons."
- It Happens in Florida by the Burning Hell

ALSO:

I read an interview once with Kurt Vonnegut near the end of his life where he told this story of this time when he asked his son what he though the meaning of life was. His son shrugged and replied "Hmm. I don't know. Maybe to help others?".

I think he was right.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, group meetings oh my!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actively surfed in India and Europe. Singing ukelele songs at the top of our collective lungs, attending an Indian wedding, cruising the paris music scene until 4 am, Australian feminist punk bands, biking through Clermont at top speed to hitch a foruitous ride to Zurich, writing a childrens book about a lonely mole who goes neigh-burrowing, swimming in rivers, biking biking biking. I've been very fortunate!

Interests

learning, Goin' campin with good people, bike lanes, board games, sustainable living, cats (in general), do-it-yourself, composing songs of lessons learnt, Thom Yorke and Bjork becoming monarchs on the moon (Moonarchs), childrens books, plays, trying to remember to LISTEN, zeppelin lanes when they become neccessary, Dolphinarchy when it becomes neccessary.

I love the things that people make?
