My current mission is focusing my best qualities towards helping others and figuring out where this lovely road called life is going.

ABOUT ME

Right now I'm studying abroad in Poland until July so I'm not able to host anyone.

I live in Greensboro, North Carolina which is the 3rd largest city in the state. But it is still pretty quaint. I live with my brother and two kitties who are just adorably loving to anyone who walks in the door. I love hanging out and having fun and this house really allows for more to get involved in this adventure as well. My brother and I are still in school. We live 5 minutes from downtown Greensboro and ride into there often. I love live shows, good bars, nice clubs, good music, dancing, getting outdoors, biking around town, and finding out more about myself and others through learning about their lives.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not in Greensboro right now, I'm in Europe and I plan to couch surf while I'm over here.

When I get back I'm going to open up the couch again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed two couches during an 8 day stay in Costa Rica. I loved meeting the people of the country, both families were really fantastic and so different from each other.

Folk is what moves my soul, salsa is what moves my feet, and reggae is what moves my spirit. I love world music, the Puntamayo CDs are ace. I love sitting around and listening to acoustic instruments though, I'm trying to pick up playing the ukulele so I can join in when friends do this. But a good show that gets you jumping around with people you hardly know is a real good time as well!

I really enjoy reading. I think it's hard to find good books which you can't tear yourself away from so I really appreciate it when I get good book advice.

I don't go to the movies too often, I tend to talk in the middle of them and that in turn tends to tick people off.:p If I do go I like taking advantage of the big time speakers and huge ass screen and catching action movies preferably historical dramas but I love Wes Anderson films like no other. Oh and anything with Tom Hanks in it, he's ace.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have gone to Alaska for work and when I say Alaska I mean the middle of no where Alaska about 500 miles north of the Arctic Circle, way above the tree line to do research in a tiny field station on the North Slope. About 60 people go every year to work on different projects and we all get pretty close. I learned a lot about the other people there with me but learned the most about myself. I learned the strengths and weaknesses that do exists within myself. I was also enlightened to the fact that my best friend might not be in North Carolina but rather half way across the world or in another country and it's up for me to find them and when I do, be open enough to know when I have.
I traveled to Costa Rica on my own for a little over a week. I had a blast but I don't think I'll travel alone ever again. As a female, I had some close calls. I loved the country, it is beautiful. I'm glad a lot is being done to protect the forests and beaches.
Right now I'm in Poland for 5 months. I'm studying International Relations while I'm over here and beebopping across Eastern Europe. I've seen Berlin, Prague, and Krakow so far. Hmmm what shall be next!
