ABOUT ME

I'm currently studying in Rome and will be here till Christmas. Then I will be back in Philadelphia. If you come to Rome I can show you what I know (although I've only been here a few months so I don't know it all). If you visit me in Philly I will gladly give you the grand tour.

PHILOSOPHY

Studying in Rome has made me realize how isolated and far away the USA can feel from the rest of the world. I joined couch surfing so that I can continue to meet new people and feel a part of something bigger than just my little corner of the world when I get home.

Interests

I'm an artist, a painter mostly. I like to read and bake. Mostly I just really like to hang out with my friends and family. I am always up for a good conversation whether it be over a diet coke, or coffee, or vodka tonics, or chocolate chip pancakes.

I'm really into Bon Iver right now. I like alot of kind of folk-y music I guess, alot of singer songwriter stuff...but it depends on my mood. Danny Schmidt, Antje Duvekot, Counting Crows, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Melilssa Etheridge, Fiona Apple,Radiohead, also MGMT, Justice...

Movies...Benny and Joon, Saved, Waiting, Grizzly Man, Lars and the Real Girl, I'm always up for something Woody Allen

Books...I just finished A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius and The Road. I really like Barbara Kingsolver's stuff, I love Walt Whitman, Into the Wild...I've been planing to read Moby Dick for a while...I wish that I had more time for books
