About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Go West, Young Man

ABOUT ME

I believe, like most Couch Surfers, that I am a fairly open-minded and easy-going person.

I'm looking to meet interesting people; ones that throw me for a loop and challenge what I think I know.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge the life-choices of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sadly, I have only had the pleasure of actually hosting one person. And it was on my dorm-room futon during my undergrad years. The experience was great, and Martha and I remain friends.

I also used it to network in Taiwan, and will continue to do so for future travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

How Martha found her way into the netherworld of Storrs is beyond me. But, it was great! The highlight of my spring semester. An overwhelmingly positive experience.

Interests

General acts of debauchery (of the green kind), reading and researching Chinese history, music, sleeping, exploring the great outdoors, sampling interesting cuisine, politicking, queer activism, playing the football, etc...

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as music is concerned, I am an avid Radiohead enthusiast. I also have been known to listen to Bjork, Pearl Jam, The Doors, Zero 7, and countless other bands.

I find esoteric Italian cinema interesting. And I love Kurosawa and Almodovar

And I read just about anything I find to be appropriate for my mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Partook in the Matzu Festival.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am forever indebted to those that came before me; those who paved the road for homosexual "equality" in the United States starting with the Stonewall riots in 1969. Since then, countless individuals have been berated, beaten, and murdered so that I may now live in a relatively safe environment. I never take this for granted; and thank them, in my own way, for each day I'm able to live my life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Japan, Peru, Taiwan

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
