Overview
About Me
One of my main focuses at the moment is spending time in my holiday camp at home (I live a tiny lifestyle in a couple of trailers on a huge bit of magestic land) in the forested hills above Takaka next to the Kahurangi National Park observing and interacting. Recently returned home after a few years based at the Arctic University of Norway in Tromso researching sustainability and indigenous issues. Now in need of nature and community.
I identify sometimes as a Maori, French, English, Welsh, Scottish as well as a New Zealander, Tainui, Mainiapoto, Hauraki, Ngati Tipa, a European and/or Polynesian. I'm a brother, cousin, a nephew and an uncle, a guardian, lover and carer.
I like to volunteer and play music.
I want to do more yoga and eat better.
I love fruit-fulled meanings and meetings.
Dadadadadada .... simplicity much?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that participation in community (such as ours here) is a key to change. Also, I like to share experiences and tips for traveling.
I have been surfing couches since I was a small lad. It is an essential part of the Maori culture of giving and to give back and help people. My family have always seem to have had people staying over, and we were often staying surfing other peoples 'couches'.
