About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling around the world by bycicle

ABOUT ME

We are an Italian-Brazilian couple that met in Milan in December '06 while Narbal had jst started his bike trip around Europe. After some cycling together, in July '07 we decided to travel together around Europe. We cycled up to Scandinavia, Russia, then back to Europe and in December '08 we flew to Cape Town, where we started our bike trip through Africa. Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania...we are planning to finish it in Ethiopia and, after a stop over in Italy, going to Brazil!

PHILOSOPHY

Every person, every place, even a bad place and not only stunning scenery and faraway destinations, every situation, especially those that give you more trouble, have something to tell you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When we were traveling in Europe, we heard some friends talking about it, so we decided to join! Since then we never regretted it and in Europe, in winter!, it saved us a lot from the cold. Couch surfing is really great!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, no bad experience at all so far! Couch surfing is really a revolution in the way of traveling. Many times we found that the places we visited, like the European capitals, wouldn't have been the same without meeting the friends who hosted us. When you stay with someone living in a place, you always have a better point of view. We stayed with families with kids, students, travelers...with Couchsurfing you can meet so many different kinds of people..that's why it is so good.

Interests

Narbal: traveling, cycling, sailing, making and repairing things by myself, football, walking, cooking (I have a restaurant in Brazil!), dancing.
Francesca: theater, languages, traveling, capoeira, cycling, swimming, walking, music and singing, natural therapies, my friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Francesca: traveling by bike, especially in Africa, staying in the deep forest of Venezuela for one month, theater with street kids in Tanzania

Teach, Learn, Share

Narbal: I'd be able to teach how to repair everything in a bicycle, even to build one. I am a cooker, so I could also teach to prepare some dishes. Actually this has already happened, because I prepared pizza lots of time when we stayed with couchsurfers along the way!
Francesca: I could teach some languages I know, and I could also teach some theater, which actually is my profession.
