Overview
About Me
I’m an art and biology teacher from Santa Cruz, Cali. I’m typing this right now from Vienna, Austria, where I find myself after having met a charming girl one day with a foreign accent. Be careful who you talk to when you go out the door. You have no idea where you’ll end up.
I’m building my NGO, Kids Save Ocean, because, as a human being and a father, I’m so horribly worried about our planet’s future, and I deeply believe that we need children’s voices to do what adults haven’t been able to: steer the boat, with all of us on it, toward a bright horizon.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
And now my baby NGO – basically me, kids, and volunteers so far - was chosen by the Swiss Hatch Colab accelerator, which “empowers entrepreneurs to build Impact Ventures that solve Humanity’s Grand Challenges”. Freaking AWESOME.
But.
Participating will require I travel to Geneva. However, being a non-Austrian teacher (we get paid much less) with kids, I'm a bit thin on cash.
I also love visiting new people and living in their homes. It's kind of magic. I'm a big fan of AirBnB.
