About Me
It's always so difficult to describe yourself. Humans are so egocentric that we only accept the defects that we are comfortable with. So, taking into account that I find this nonsense, I'll try it.
I'm an easy going guy, open minded and I love scuba diving, climbing and snowboarding.
How about that, ha? Best description you probably ever read.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To help and to be helped. To meet new people and try to get to know wherever I go.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm kind of very flexible with music, I go from punk to reggae and from rap to latin sounds. But not only that, techno parties are my favourites and, when needed, I can enjoy dancing to some good reggaeton. Just one thing, please don't punish me making me listen to Beyonce or Jason Mraz or anything like this. Please, don't.
I guess that this kind of taste extends to everything, put me any kind of movie but not The Notebook. You want to have fun? Let's have some magic cigarettes and watch Monthy Python and The Holy Grail. You want to blow your mind? Let's watch Memento and get deep into paranoia. I can eat any movie you want. Except for romantic-comedies. And Hugh Grant, he is "persona non grata" in my house.
My reading preferences are boring... I like a lot to read about philosophy, but not the cheap-self-esteem-Paulo-Coelho kind of book. I think that Philosophy would be my field of study in another life so I try to try to try to try to get some concepts from it, although it is an impossible mission (I don't like Tom Cruise either). So, when I get frustrated with it, I go to political books with which my rage increases. And, when I am very angry, I move to those books that are in the "young-adult" sections in the bookstores, last one of them I read was "The Rise of Nine" from Pittacus Lore. After that, my brain feels as if I went through a lobotomy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably surviving to a very bad motorbike accident without no major injuries was the most incredible thing I ever did (and probably will do). But it wasn't exactly me who did it, I was just a passive force in that event that had the luck to survive.
I think the most incredible thing I did, voluntarily, in my life was staying for some days on a Cambodian uninhabited island (named Ghost Island by the way...) with just my hammock, one kg of rice, one kg of egg noodles, a pineapple, six bottles of water, some nut sweets and a fishing line that turned out to be useless without a fishing rod.
I don't think my life will get more interesting than that.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't think I can give much knowledge... The only thing you may get from me is some boring Neuroscience, cheap existentialism, a hard dose of reality and some tips about how to travel around South-East Asia.
I'm willing to learn about anything you can tell me about. I'm a very curious person so I will be asking about everything from your country, your culture, places you have been and whatever you work-study in. So do not worry, I always have a question to ask!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Everything I can help with, that's pretty much what I can offer. You'll be welcome in my flat as if it was yours. Feel free to use my kitchen, my books, my board games, my friends, my PS4, whatever. Not a bike, unfortunately, I don't have one, I got stolen twice, so no more bikes in Magdeburg.
