Overview
About Me
Pedro is twenty seven, and has just moved from his hometown, in June. He’s been planning this for years - to live nomadically for some time. He’s six feet three, and has countless passions, from friends and crushes to animals, fruits, vegetables and fungi.
He’s a musician, and has worked with a lot of different people. He also loves contemporary art, writing music for dance and theatre plays, working with complex textures, and playing different instruments. He would have been really glad to be born an instrument, rather than a human.
Pedro really appreciates cooking, specially after being converted to the vegan game. Currently, he spreads the word of the vegetables, and has worked for most of 2020 as a cook, during the time the pandemic took his other jobs away. Even though he missed performing, this experience was really fulfilling, as he thinks cooking from a both political and affective standpoint.
He used to live in an urban commune, where he'd gladly share his life with other eight adults, four children and five cats. Practices meditation regularly to keep his vibes flowing, believes in cosmic consciousness, and is crazy about fermented food. He might have found it easier to write about himself in the third person, but don’t worry - that would never happen in a conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To me, traveling is about availability - not schedule-like availability, but just being open hearted to embrace new experiences, places and people. Allowing yourself to connect deeply and uniquely with others, and to have that same open heart broken when it's time to say goodbye.
Getting to know a place from an inside perspective, rather than the place’s touristic landmarks, is also something I really cherish.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I’m pretty eclectic, and actually love sound in general, regardless of music. John Coltrane and St. Vincent are all-time favourites, though, and can always shred my heart to pieces.
Movies: A lot of names… Tarkovsky, Kubrick, Felinni, Lynch, Bergman, Von Trier, Almodóvar, Cassavettes… Special taste for horror. It’s been a long time since I haven’t been scared to death after watching a movie, and this bums me. Honorable mention to Monty Python, for killing it in both the films and TV show!
Books: I love reading, have read lots of different stuff throughout the years, but currently read less then I’d like to.
To name some names, Camus and Cortázar are definitely worth mentioning as some of my dearest authors.
Oh, and current bedside book is The Perennial Philosophy, by Aldous Huxley.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was four, first word I ever wrote was “CANIBAU” ("cannibal", misspelled). Passionately, with a magic marker, on my mattress. Rock on.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d love to learn more about gardening and plants (was never able to successfully grow anything other than mushrooms, haha). Would also massively appreciate to learn how to properly sew, after all, that's something quite useful.
Having said that: wandering around, chatting, listening to music, dancing, drinking, meeting other people, doing nothing, reading, watching a movie or playing games: I’ll thankfully welcome whatever you have to offer!
To be honest, I actually believe we are constantly teaching and learning a whole bunch from each other, regardless of intention - just by allowing ourselves to be present, sharing the moment and spending time together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whatever I am, think or (supposedly) know is up to be shared - after all, I guess that’s what meeting people is all about, right?
Now, to answer more objectively, I’m a bit nerdy about cooking, and people are often asking my help with kitchen related issues, so that’s something super shareable.
