About Me

Currently in Paris doing a Masters in Anthropology at EHESS. Enjoying life in the most beautiful city in the world.

I was born in the countryside of Brazil, in the state of Minas Gerais. Graduated in Linguistics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and in Modern Languages from Université Lumière Lyon 2.
I am a writer, visual artist and dancer. I published my 1st book at the age of 15, the novel "Um Breve Momento", and have already participated in art exhibitions as a performer, sculptor and photographer.

I spent a year in France while studying in Lyon; and I lived for 4 years in São Paulo during my university years.

Between 2021-22 I stayed for almost a year in the Brazilian Amazon, doing volunteer work in indigenous communities of people like the Yawanawa and the Noke Kuin. This was the most unique experience of my life! And I'm finishing my book about that period.
I love to sing and to play on the guitar indigenous songs that I learned in the Amazon.
Today I am an activist for the environment and the native peoples of Brazil.

I also work as a translator and teacher of foreign languages. I speak Portuguese, French, English and Spanish fluently, but I have studied a bit of almost 20 languages, including Sanskrit and Noke Vana (the language of the Noke Kuin people).

i drift around the city and inside the forest
i sing mantras in sanskrit and icaros of pano indigenous people
i seek things knowing they are seeking me too

and that's what traveling means to me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my travels I learned that making connections with local people is one of the most special things about these experiences! I enjoy sharing my stories and listening to others too, as well as experiencing some new ones together!
Couchsurfing is still an out-of-the-box platform for offering an exchange solution between people without involving money. And it's a great way for backpackers to save a little too, while having the most exciting of hosting experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books

Today what I listen the most is to hindu mantras in sanskrit; they are really incredible and powerfull! I also love listening to Arcade Fire, Florence and the Machine, Lady Gaga, Pink Floyd, Beethoven...
My favorite books are The Brothers Karamazov, In The Search Of The Lost Time, Faust, The Unbearable Lightness Of Being and War and Peace.
And I love classic and alternative movies! Such as Pierrot Le Fou, A Clockwork Orange, Vertigo, Persona!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I read James Joyce's Ulysses when I was 15. At the same age I published my 1st book.

I lived for 1 year in the Amazon Rainforest with indigenous peoples. And I ended this experience crossing the forest in almost 4000km by boat.

I know by heart a devotional poem in Sanskrit of 86 lines.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach a bit of English, French, Spanish, Portuguese or an indigenous language of the Pano peoples.

Also to share my experiences in big cities, mountains, deserts and, above all, in the forest. I have many curious and funny stories to tell, always full of synchronicity.

I also enjoy cooking vegan dishes and sharing my understandings of the universe.
