About Me

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Lisbon, having studied Management I've come to realize that my passion was to be closer to ther arts, hence I started to work as a Tour guide which allows me to have a theatrical contribution to the insights of the foreigners who visit Lisbon, I also design my own Music Tour since I'm an amateur musician playing several instruments like the Guitar, Transverse Flute, mandolin and currently havng Bagpipe lessons.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to engage in life as a forma of artwork, imagining ife to be an aesthetic experience, and during the time Im alive to try to make it the most beautiful and astonishing portrait so that when I die, if I could look at my life I would find it beautiful, a sort of Sistine Chapel

I'm keen on ecological and social movements like Permaculture, and its ethics, I've spent a lot of time reading the founding fathers of western thought, and the disrupting ones, from Plato to Aristoteles, Descartes, Hegel, Nnietzsche, Sartre, etc., which I feel is important to understand who we are since the cultural context which was shaped by their belief system can condition us, and "no price is to high to pay for the privilege to become who you are".

I also wrote a Master Thesis on Permaculture and Cities in Transition, I believe sustainability and resilience are an every day act, also perceiving life as a combination of interdependent relationships should be an aim for humanity if we want to create harmony on earth, harmony between chaos and order, henceforth cultivating respect for others and sharing what I can so others can grow, and I can grow to with what others have to teach.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, that share the same interests, that are keen about traveling, reading good books, and listening to music, sharing different perspectives of life that enrich our experiences as human beings, and especially people that want to have fun and know how to laugh, for to laugh is not to take life to serious, is to be light, and the lighter we are, the easier is to fly.

I try to always reply even when I'm unable to host which I don't always have the chance, but whenever I have I love to have people at my place.
