About Me

I am a calm and easy-going guy. I've lived abroad twice, in Sweden and Scotland, and love traveling and meeting people from different places.

As much as I love "living in the moment", my mind is always searching for the next thing. The next destination. The next learning opportunity. The next challenge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So last year I had a few coaching sessions and I had this big realization of the amount of times I kept saying "(insert anything here) is something I have always wanted to do". Couchsurfing is one of those things. I have known this thing for ages and met up with a few travelers, but had never really actually DONE it. So in May/2018, during my vacation I was hosted for the first time by this really cool Bulgarian couple in Cork - and now I know this is definitely something I should do more often.

So right now I am here to stop postponing awesome experiences.

Interests

Like everyone else here, I love traveling. Besides that, I am kind of movie geek, and usually watch 2-3 movies on the weekends. I like music and going to concerts. I love pubs and talking to people over a few beers. I love books, but they probably don't love me back anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movie ever is Big Fish. But ultimately I'll watch anything with a plot (this ends up excluding most comedies and Fast and Furious movies).
1984 is my favorite book. I love books that blow your mind away.
Some of my favorite bands are Mumford and Sons, Oasis, Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Bastille, Imagine Dragons and so on. I like folk and folk rock as well, but I never really pay that much attention to who is actually playing.

Recommendations are always welcome :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Kind of falling down from the bungee jumping platform was amazing and made me feel completely alive (embarrassing, but fun - I have the video).
- There was this one day I was sitting on a bench in this small Colombian town and a bunch of local kids started playing with me and I ended up teaching them how to make paper airplanes.
- Met a bunch of different people with a bunch of different stories that taught me a bunch of different things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not a GREAT cook, but I do well on the kitchen.
