Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
To see and experience as much as I can while I'm still young and able. I want to see new places, meet new people, and always come back not recognizing the person who left.
ABOUT ME
I'm a laid back sort of guy with a very good sense of humor. I have a huge passion for creative thinking, and the arts. Traveling really helps bring that out even more and is a big source of inspiration to me. I'm a musician and a songwriter, and an aspiring film maker (and I do some photography when I travel).
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in everything and I believe in nothing.
I feel like absolutes are ultimately hindering, and stop one from being able to just exist. No matter how much we may discover in our lifetimes we will never have all the answers, and that is ok.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel because it's really opened my eyes to the world in a new way. Everytime I go someplace new I learn something new about myself, and I feel like I perhaps teach those I come in contact something new themselves. The swapping of cultures fascinates me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some really excellent people while Ive been couch surfing. My favorites have been the people that talk with me and show me around their respective areas and really help me get a feel for the local culture in a way that I could never hope to,experience by just walking around. I suppose my first couchsurfing experience would have been before I even had a couch surfing account. I was in California and I had somehow gotten on last second as an opener for Dan Potthast. After the show I met a really nice couple and we talked for a bit and they ended up inviting me to crash on their couch for a few days. They lived in Santa Cruz, a place I'd visited several times before, however when I went this time I saw a completely different side of the city. They took me to the local gatherings, and I met their friends and got to experience what it was like to live as a local in Santa Cruz, and from that point on I realized that that was the way I wanted to travel.
Not spending money on a hotel and hostel is great, but what makes couchsurfing amazing is getting a chance to actually immerse yourself in the local culture in a way you just can't do any other way.

Música, películas y libros
Some of my favorite directors are, Wes Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Charlie Kaufman, Andrei Tarkovsky, and the Coen Brothers. I'm also particularly fond of the Star Wars Trilogy (the original one, none of that cgi rubbish), Death To Smoochy, and I <3 Huckabees.
Music: I really have a big fondness for folk music, as well as Indie rock, post-rock, math-rock, old tyme jazz (gotta have my Louie Armstrong, and Dizzy Gillespie), and ska-rocksteady-reggae.
Some of my favorite groups are, Breathe Owl Breathe, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Beulah, Emperor X, Why?, Andrew Bird, and Radical Face (or any Ben Cooper project)
Books: I'm a big fan of Kurt Vonnegut, David Foster Wallace, Franz Kafka, J.R.R. Tolkien, George R.R. Martin and George Orwell.
Algo increíble que he hecho
There are a few things that stand out, like the Grand Canyon, the first time I saw Big Sur, the Pyramids in Cairo, or scuba diving in Dahab. Though I think the most amazing thing I've seen was while I was in Alaska on a scenic mountain train ride through what looked like alien terrain and fauna, and fog thicker than I've ever seen. It was straight from an Andrei Tarkovsky film.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
