HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host, show the city around and surf. We normally like to show the city to our host whenever we got time. We normally don't receive persons for one night since we want to get to know our hosts and share experiences.
We enjoy cooking for our guest, normally accompanied with a good Portuguese wine.
We also take great pleasure trying the food from different cultures, learning the history, political situation, culture, among other things.
So far it has been amazing!

Note: For the people who reads the references that we make they all might look like the same and that everyone that we receive is great. There is a reasons for that and that reason is that, so far, everyone that we had the luck of receiving or traveling with are just great! And we feel very lucky for having met them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it has been amazing! All our guests are very friendly persons, who are interested in learning about Lisbon and Portugal and in exchange tell us about their own country and experiences.
We think it's worthwhile to study the profiles of the other persons so to be sure that the personal objectives are aligned. For example, if a CS objective is to learn the most about night life, then we're not the best hosts. On the other hand, if it is to show the city around or the local food, then we would help with pleasure.
We also like to have time to get things organized ( like cleaning the house :) ). For that reason it would be preferable to send your request with at least 1 week before the arrival date. We also prefer surfers that have a complete profile.

兴趣

My favorite hobbies are reading ( from different subjects: books, magazines, ...), my fresh water aquarium, travelling with my girlfriend, studying, movies, cooking,...
I am not much of going out at night but I enjoy a good beer or trekking through the city.
I've also started making coin a collection. If you come to visit me and if you happened to have in your pocket some coins from your country I would love to trade them with you (not mandatory :) )

Favorite Film: Big Lebowski. But I really like movies of all sort. Star Wars; Star Trek; Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas; The Departed; all from Quentin Tarantino; Dr. Jivago
Books: Hard to say. I love reading and I have no preferred type. I've read from economy to science fiction, to historical romance or James Bond stories. I specially enjoyed 1984, Count of Monte Cristo, Lord of the Rings, all that I've read from José Saramago, Dune series and Foundation series.
Music: Mostly Pop Rock from the 90s -- REM, James, Smashing Pumpkins, anything played by Sting
