ABOUT ME

I'm a product from a cultural and genetical mess I wouldn't try to describe here! Also I travelled around for a while, and have a sensation now that I bring some of the influence specially for Czech Republic and France, so sometimes I feel like a stranger in my own country. Maybe it will pass after I stay here a little longer.

I just started a math job in São José dos Campos, and I'm profiting my familiy's old house in the mountains by Santo Antônio do Pinhal to live, a huge and welcome break from the crazy life in Paris. Here I can concentrate in math and music, and on weekends I can go visit my friends and family back in São Paulo, also to get my city fix. I had forgotten how much I love São Paulo :) Anyway, I'm starting a whole new life and still am to see how it develops!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to keep this as flexible as possible. But one feeling never changes: that our time is precious, and we should respect and care for one another.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me the whole couchsurfing thing offers a nice possibility of entering more deeply in the culture of the place I'm visiting and getting in touch with people and enviornments that really "add" something, something that you wouldn't get in a hotel/hostel, no mater how big a swimming pool they have.

(of course, I've nothing against big swimming pools! I love them, and I love saunas :) but that's a different thing)

When I'm looking for hosts, I search for people who I feel there is compatible vibe, or that there is something to exchange in any sense.

It would be great to host musicians bringing instruments, so we can jam! there is a nice digital piano, an acoustic guitar and my drums in the house, to start with.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I guess i can enjoy any kind of piece of art that has genuinely come from the guts. Or the soul, or whatever. The amount of "hidden" precious music and literature in the World is a real inspiration.

There's no music comparable to live one, as you can't compare seeing a film on the computer or TV to watching it in the movie theaters. I won't say anything about Kindles 'cause I never tried it for real :)

... and no matter how much beautiful, varied and rich music I hear, I can't deny that nothing will make me turn my head faster than if I hear Sabbath playing, still, and probably forever...

mmm... what could I teach?
1) drums
2) to sing some old and melancholic brazilian songs; carnaval marches, chorinhos.
3) basic steps of the martial art of tango.
4) crazy "verslin" slang in French and very bad words in czech.
5) maybe to prepare one of the few dishes I know.
6) non-linear geometry of Banach spaces, in case you are interested!
