About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get to enjoy new things, experiences and places

ABOUT ME

Tall guy for latin america, athletic, enjoy working out, but not a big fan of sports (not even I get that one), guitar player, all kinds of rock & roll from the fun stuff to the heavy stuff, avid BBQ griller and eater. Really enjoy entertaining and doing parties.
Obviously love to draw everything, from random people in the streets to caracter design. Stand up comedy aficionado ( don't worry I wont force jokey jokes on anyone).

PHILOSOPHY

Drama is for suckers. I take a practical approach to most things and I try to have a sense of humour, even if the only one laughing is me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

No couch surfing experience to speak off. It seems like a good way to meet new people. No problem with the group of friends I have now, but maybe is that I'm just plain greedy and want more friends, there i said it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once whe I was a kid my mom and dad hosted a cuban who had a baseball doctorate. I was 10 at the time and the only thing I could think off was " Sir, what is your real job?" He was a blast though we all had a good time, even with his titanic efforts to show how to swing a bat and my majestic failiure, did I mention I don't dig sports?
Other time I hosted my cousin and two of her friends for a littlle R&R in my hometown, turned into a springbreaky-mardigrasesque haze of alcohol and parties, don't remember much but there was a lot of Woohoos involved, that is all I remember.

Interests

Old animation movies and experiments in filming attract me a lot, painting expo's and drawing events, live concerts. Going to the countryside but with plumbing, not a big fan of the full outdoorsy thing, we got over living in the wild is what I say.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: hmmm the list is long but the ones that stay with me are.
The Iron Giant, Wizards (by Bakshi), the back to the future series, the goonies ( I'll go see the artsy fartsy new conceptual movie and the discuss it over wine, but the ones I listed and the kind are my movie comfort food).
Books: I read a lot of fantasy books and balance it with history and economy books (never go full dork). Obssessed with the history of my own country.
Music: avid rock and blues consumer. Mostly heavy stuff from the 80's and 90's, really into stoner rock and blues player. Anything guitar related.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played with a Prog band in Baja California in 2001, got to meet A lot of the greats of the Prog Rock movement in the process.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach english and owned an animation school for a while, run a local life drawing group with some friends.
Would love to learn Kung Fu like Keanu.
I'll share a sandwich.
