Overview
About Me
I grew up (mostly) in Lisbon (Portugal).
I've studied design and photography, and tend to be quite interested in most artistic fields.
Besides working as a photographer, I've worked in Tourism for quite a few years, which I quite enjoyed. Especially the part of showing/giving advice to people about different places that I knew well, not just the traditional landmarks but mostly the lesser known yet equally interesting parts of a city (as well as whole areas of the country side and nature). I also had an equally great time showing them good restaurants and bars!
Now I am mostly doing freelance design or photography work while living in Berlin.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people, to hear and tell interesting stories/experiences. Learn about different ways of thinking and viewing the world.
Interests
Things I love the most: Walking around and just taking photos all day; drawing & illustration; graphic & industrial design; music concerts; going out at night and having a few drinks with friends; travelling and interacting with different people, even small trips within my own country; new things that make me go outside my comfort zone; good food and good glass of wine (or beer!).

Music, Movies, and Books
Always hard to pick favorites, but movies that I really REALLY liked: Seven Samurai, Paprika, Oldboy, M, The Fountain, Black Cat White Cat (you will always be in a good mood after watchin this!), Holy Mountain, Happy End (1967, the whole story is presented backwards and yet manages to work perfectly).
Music: I like many different styles, Hank Williams, Elvis, Prodigy, Volbeat, Beirut, Gogol Bordello, Dropkick Murphys, Celldweller, Johnny Cash, Trentemøller, Gesaffelstein
Books: Fountainhead (perhaps my favourite one, or at the very least a book that had a deep influence on me from the artistical point of view), Siddhartha, The Winter of Our Discontent, Terras do Demo, In Praise of Shadows, Guns Germs and Steel, The Fall, After the Banquet, The Metamorphosis, The Stranger.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming in the deserted beaches (in) Mozambique. Maybe not exactly amazing, but the landscape just filled me with such a sense of awe and joy that some of those moments made me feel like I was back in prehistoric times, watching an untouched part of the world.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Mozambique, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, United States, Wales
