FUTURE MISSION
Repeating my overland trip of december 2015 but now with a large truck filled up with aid materials and using a different track via Algeria and Mali. Planned for summer 2020 or later.
Original plan: In summer 2019 sailing with my yacht to the Azores (if I will find additional crew of 3). But then I had a mast failure... Now fixed and boat upgraded with all possible navigational tools. Alternative sailing to Copenhagen, Denmark with stops to accommodate shorter etappes for my crew and skip night travels in case only two people sailing. Or if wind allows Scotland, best case even sailing to the Shetlands...
BUT I NEED CREW, please volunteer !!!
CURRENT MISSION
HOLIDAYS (when working: Lecturing Electronics and embedded system design at a university. Implementing new teaching techniques based on my experience in industry.)
COMPLETED MISSION
In summer 2017 did some cruising from Los Angeles, Ca to Houston, Tx, while flying in over Iceland as a birthday present to my 16 yo son.
December 2015: Driving overland from Brussels to The Gambia to deliver a 4x4 vehicle with a trailer carrying 750 kg of help goods and solar panels to sponsor a small village I selected as my private charity project.
